Customer's quilt shows what can be done!

We love to see our fabrics used properly, and the photographs below (in progress and the finished article) show how quilting fabrics can be used to great effect! Sent in by one of our customers, this quilt is made using fabrics from our blue stash packs, and how good does it look? Just to make those of us who quilt on a regular basis feel a bit more abashed, this quilt was made by a 15 year old, on her first attempt - I'm off now to get more practice in!

New fabrics and quilting stencils now in stock

Brand new in today, we have uploaded the Liberty Art Fabrics Paisley patchwork fabric collection to the website. Striking paisley and abstract designs make up this range, ideal for modern style quilts - Liberty Art Fabrics are a design house interconnecting original Liberty prints with the inspiration and unique sense of glorious colours of the head designer, Kaffe Fassett, resulting in fabrics with a great modern twist on classic designs. Also available in two separate fat quarter packs and a stash pack of all eight fabrics, if you fancy making a bold statement, these are the fabrics to do it with!

Also today, we have increased our range of quilting stencils with the addition of nine new designs - including hearts, loops and cable designs, from a small 1.5 inch perfect for sashings all the way up to a huge 6 inch cable design ideal for large borders, there's now bound to be a suitable quilting stencil for your latest project!

New Moda fabrics and bag patterns

Brand new in this week we have the Moda Nature's Notebookrange, a lovely collection of blue and soft cream fabrics in floral and geometrical designs reminiscent of willow pattern china - perfect for a traditional quilt, and available as a stash pack or discounted fat quarter pack. Another new range in is the Sweet Pea collection from RJR fabrics, bright pinks, yellows and aquas ideal for Spring. Also new in today are three new bag patterns, two from Lazy Girl designs, quick and easy bags to make that you can have to match any outfit, and the Scrap Bags Triple Squares bag patterns, another simple yet effective bag design  that can be used to use up fabric remnants. The added bonus of the Maggie bag pattern is that it uses 10 inch squares - great for layer cake fabrics or our own stash pack fabrics!
