New fabrics with Ahoy Me Hearties, Stamped Batiks and Tuxedo!

Loads of new fabrics have arrived this week, just in time for Christmas! First up is the Tuxedo collection - the shirting style prints of the Tuxedo fabric range by Kathy Hall at Andover fabrics are perfect for traditional and reproduction quilts, and their small scale and neutral colours make them brilliant to add to your stash as they will go with all kinds of quilts!

Our Batiks range has been extended with the arrival of Sew Simple's Stamped Batiks - gorgeous colour combinations and lots of different designs make these batiks stand out from the crowd! Available as a fat quarter pack that gives a 5% discount off buying the fabrics separately, this is a great way to add to your batiks collection!

Our final new range this week is Ahoy Me Hearties, by Janet Clare for Moda - perfect for nautical themed quilts and accessories, the soft aquas and pretty designs evoke the beauty and mystery of the ocean!

New football themed fabrics with Fabric Freedoms Goal!

Goal is a fun and playful collection, perfect for all of you football fans out there! All of the designs were hand drawn and placed into a repeat pattern to create a striking collection of football themed fabrics. In two separate colour themes, all teams playing in either blue or red are covered by this collection, making it ideal for a child's bedroom or play area!

Just in, we have the Paste Prints quilt fabric collection from Fabric Freedom. Ditzy prints in white on white, ivory and beige make for perfect neutrals that will fit in with all sorts of quilt designs! Take the hard work out of using bias tape with Clover's fusible bias tape range! New in, we have extended our range of bias binding makers with fusible bias tape makers in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm and 25mm widths, plus fusible web in two widths and some ready made 6mm black fusible bias tape - ideal for stained glass quilting!

The hedgerow is an important piece of the British countryside, providing homes for all sorts of wildlife, and also providing inspiration for Lewis & Irene's latest patchwork fabric range! Teddy Bears Picnic by Fabric Freedom - perfect for cot quilts!

If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise. Meet the teddy bears for their picnic, fly a kite and eat a cake or two! The Teddy Bears Picnic collection by Fabric Freedom is a range of cuddly children's prints featuring picnic baskets brimming with cakes and sandwiches, gingham picnic blankets and daisy coordinates. This fun range of fabrics includes alphabet and number prints alongside ditsy daisy designs, and the muted pastel colours are perfect for a tasteful quilt for the nursery.

A new manufacturer for us, the prints from Fabric Freedom are perfect for craft projects with their high quality, 100% cotton material. We have lots of fabrics in stock, starting with two ranges just uploaded to the website, Construction and Watercolour Florals.

Construction is a fun, primary coloured range featuring classic yellow diggers and dumper trucks - perfect for play mats, nursery quilts and other children's projects, great value at just £8 per metre!

The Watercolour Floral quilt fabric range brings a sophisticated touch to your quilting projects, with designs painted in watercolours and featuring delicate florals and bluetits - again they are great quality for a low price of just £9 per metre!

Dutchess fabrics, new tools & Sewline Glue pens!

We have a fabulous new fabric range in stock this week - Dutchess, by Chong-a Hwang for Timeless Treasures. The Dutchess quilt fabrics are stunning blues, turquoise and whites in classic medallion and floral designs, all set off with a filigree of metallic silver - they will bring a touch of class to any room!

Also newly added today are a selection of new patchwork and quilting tools. The Quick Quarter II is a handy little measuring tool that makes marking and cutting half square and quarter square triangles a breeze, and it fits easily into your sewing kit! 

 

The Thimble Pads by Colonial are a great alternative to standard thimbles (especially if you have long nails!), these reusable self adhesive leather dots stick to your finger and make fine needlework a pleasure.

Lastly, by popular demand (we were asked a lot at the West Country Quilt Show!), we have the Sewline fabric glue pens and refills. These popular glue sticks are perfect to temporarily join fabrics without the need for pins or basting, especially useful for English paper piecing - the glue goes on blue but dries clear, and will not gum up the needle during sewing. Refills are available for when the glue runs out, and are easily installed into the pen.

Our Christmas fabrics have started to arrive for this year (never too early!), with Makower's Traditional Metallic and Scandi ranges - perfect for projects such as tree skirts, table decorations and wallhangings, and coordinating well with the Makower Christmas panels!

The other new category - bargain fabrics - on the website gives you a chance to bag a really good deal, with all fabrics at £7 per metre or less - the same great quality fabrics from top manufacturers, but end of line and discontinued prints meaning we can offer them to you at this great low price!

Moda Cake Mix Recipes 5 - 8 now available!

New from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co for Moda Fabrics, the Cake Mix Recipes make 'baking' a layer cake quilt easier than ever! Designed to be used in conjunction with Moda's Layer Cakes, each pad has 42 sheets - one for each layer of a Layer Cake - plus a couple extra for practice. Each pad also includes a few block and layout ideas - just add 1 or 2 layer cakes and you're ready to start stitching.

We have recipes 5 to 8 in stock now, but limited stock of each so get them while you can!

New Batik Basics and Sewline fabric markers now in stock!

New in this week we have the Sew Simple Batik Basics range of Batik Fabrics - hand dyed in Bali, this beautiful range of Batiks come in a range of bright colours, at a great, purse-friendly price!

We have also added some more fabric markers to our range, with the Sewline Duo fabric marker and eraser pens, and the Sewline Trio Colors mechanical fabric pencil. The Duo pen and eraser creates clean, sharp lines that can be easily removed using the eraser pen, perfect for marking quilting designs. The Trio Colors pencil has 3 different colour leads (black, white and pink), making it the ideal tool for marking dark, light and patterned fabrics - refill packs are available for the high quality ceramic leads used.

TrueCut My Comfort rotary cutters and matching quilt rulers now in stock!

We've just updated our rotary cutter and quilt ruler selections with the addition of the TrueCut brand. Ergonomically designed to reduce stress on the wrist and arm, and the unique track and guide system interlocks the cutters with the rulers for straight cuts every time!

We have the TrueCut My Comfort cutters in 3 different sizes, 28mm, 45mm and 60mm, and the matching rulers are available in 4 sizes. The rulers can be used with any rotary cutters but the track and guide system makes them perfect when used in conjunction with the My Comfort cutters, especially if you have any difficulties (e.g. arthritis) when cutting fabric.
