New range of acrylic patchwork templates now available!

Our new range of patchwork templates are now available on the website - made from 3mm thick transparent acrylic, you can use them to draw round or they can be used with a rotary cutter (making it possible to cut several layers of fabric at once). The sizes and shapes correspond with our pre-cut packs of English paper piecing fabrics and papers, so you could incorporate a favourite fabric with our packs for maximum ease!

New fabrics with Michael Miller's Round Up and the Benartex Metallic Lace range!

We have two brand new but very different small ranges available from today. Firstly, the sumptuous Metallic Lace fabric range from Benartex's Dover Hill Studio - gorgeous fabrics in ebony and ivory with metallic gold highlights that really lift the prints. With designs including butterflies, flowers, ribbons and leaves this collection can be used to bring a touch of luxury to any room!

The second collection is the unusual Round Up fabric range, a set of prints inspired by Native American woven fabrics, by Michael Miller. In earthy, natural colours and a range of geometric prints, these fabrics would be great for a striking, grown up quilt or for dressmaking!

New Blank Quilting Chromadots extra wide backing fabrics in stock!

Had a big delivery yesterday - the first fabrics uploaded from it are 9 new extra wide backing fabrics from the Chromadots range by Blank Quilting. These are great quality cotton fabrics perfect for backing up to king size quilts with no joins and there should be a colour here to suit any quilt!

Just arrived is the full Dot Dot Dash fabric range, by Me & My Sister Designs for Moda. In a variety of spotty and stripey designs in bright pink, purple, turquoise, orange, green and yellow, these patchwork fabrics make the perfect stash builders! Spots and stripes are always useful for borders, sashings and backgrounds, or you could used these brilliantly coordinating fabrics on their own for a really striking quilt - our fat quarter packs in pink & yellow, turquoise & purple or orange & green make buying the fabrics really easy!

After a few months of stock problems while Mettler re-branded their range, we now have a huge range of colours available in the various Mettler Silk-Finish thread collections. We have Silk-Finish 50 sewing thread ideal for piecing and general dress making, Silk-Finish 40 quilting thread which is a heavier weight ideal for quilting and special effects, and Silk Finish Multi 50 which is a range of multicoloured and variagated threads great to create eyecatching designs and colourful patterns. We also have the most popular solid colours on larger reels, perfect for larger projects!
