As we have been running low on novelty fabrics, we've just taken delivery of these great fun novelties from Blank Quilting to replenish our stock! Firstly, Bugsters is great for any budding entomologists (or any youngsters who simply love bugs and insects just like mine!), with ladybirds, worms, bees, spiders and more featured on these bright prints.
Just uploaded to the website is the gorgeous Evening Blooms patchwork fabric range, designed by Carina Gardner for Riley Blake Designs. A modern take on the classic black and white theme, this monochrome collection features florals, spots and stripes - also available as a discounted 8 fat quarter pack, with 5% discount over buying the fabrics separately.
We have jelly rolls and layer cakes now available from two new Moda ranges - Simple Marks and La Belle Fleur. Simple Marks, designed by Malka Dubrawsky is a range of rich colours including blues, reds, yellow and green, in almost tribal designs that give a hand drawn yet graphic effect. La Belle Fleur is based on fabrics in an antique French 'quilt within a quilt' - the designs are from a quilt found in an attic sale, which turned out to have another antique quilt as the batting! Typical French General colours are used, including creams, reds and antique blues, so if you're a fan then you won't be disappointed!
Uploaded to the site over the weekend we have two brand new jelly rolls and layer cakes from Moda, the Blueberry Crumb range by Blackbird Designs and Rouenneries Deux from French General. With 40 different prints in 2.5 inch strips in the jelly roll, and 10 inch squares in the layer cake, there is loads you can do with these gorgeous bundles. Brand new in to the website we have a new range of basics, namely the Quilter's Basics by Stof A/S, a really useful range of small prints in bright colours - great for backgrounds and blenders! We also have them available as 3 different fat quarter packs, in blues, greens and reds, perfect for when you need several prints in the same colourway.
Uploaded to the website today we have the full range of Moda Meadow Friends patchwork fabrics, designed by Deb Strain - as she describes it: 'We live in the woods with a stream and when our children were little they would spend hours playing there. Frogs, turtles, slamanders and bugs were brought home by my son. Our daughters were amazed by the flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds on the path to the creek. This group captures the whimsical fun of a day spent outdoors with all the "critters" that little boys and girls love.'
If you enjoy English paper piecing with hexagons, but hate the tedium of cutting out and pinning the paper hexagons, we have a new product that would be ideal - packs of die cut hexagons cut from freezer paper, in two different sizes. With 2 inch and 3 inch freezer paper hexagons available, you can just iron on to the fabric (shiny side down), and they will stick for you to cut out and tack around, then will peel off easily when you've finished! Brilliant as a time saver, and to ensure you get accurate hexagons.
Uploaded to the website today we have the Moda Fa La La La La jelly roll and Fa La La La La layer cake (try saying that 5 times quickly!). This holiday collection from French General is filled with classic reds and grays with a touch of the old world green. Hand written letters with the lyrics to the classic French song, Fa La La La La, is the theme and gives this collection a particularly festive look. Rural French florals and branches make this group perfect for a warm winter quilt or stocking or two. Joyeux Noël!

New in stock today we have the latest Moda jelly roll and layer cake, from the Oasis range by 3 Sisters. Designed by 3 Sisters for Moda, the Oasis range of patchwork fabrics is a gorgeous spring themed collection in calming colours such as mud mask beige, lemon slice yellow, spa blue and polish pink. In stunning floral prints, these fabrics would make a lovely light quilt for springtime, or could be used for apparel or home decoration to equal effect.
New in today we have the gorgeous jelly rolls and layer cakes in the Luna Notte patchwork fabric range by 3 Sisters for Moda fabrics. In night-time shades of radiant red, luminous blue, creams and soft pinks, the floral designs on these fabrics are absolutely stunning, the whole range being ideal for traditional quilts but with striking colours making all the difference!
