The Teddy Bears Picnic collection by Fabric Freedom is a range of cuddly children's prints featuring picnic baskets brimming with cakes and sandwiches, gingham picnic blankets and daisy coordinates. This fun range of fabrics includes alphabet and number prints alongside ditsy daisy designs, and the muted pastel colours are perfect for a tasteful quilt for the nursery.

A new manufacturer for us, the prints from Fabric Freedom are perfect for craft projects with their high quality, 100% cotton material. We have lots of fabrics in stock, starting with two ranges just uploaded to the website, Construction and Watercolour Florals.

Construction is a fun, primary coloured range featuring classic yellow diggers and dumper trucks - perfect for play mats, nursery quilts and other children's projects, great value at just £8 per metre!

The Watercolour Floral quilt fabric range brings a sophisticated touch to your quilting projects, with designs painted in watercolours and featuring delicate florals and bluetits - again they are great quality for a low price of just £9 per metre!

Dutchess fabrics, new tools & Sewline Glue pens!

We have a fabulous new fabric range in stock this week - Dutchess, by Chong-a Hwang for Timeless Treasures. The Dutchess quilt fabrics are stunning blues, turquoise and whites in classic medallion and floral designs, all set off with a filigree of metallic silver - they will bring a touch of class to any room!

Also newly added today are a selection of new patchwork and quilting tools. The Quick Quarter II is a handy little measuring tool that makes marking and cutting half square and quarter square triangles a breeze, and it fits easily into your sewing kit! 

 

The Thimble Pads by Colonial are a great alternative to standard thimbles (especially if you have long nails!), these reusable self adhesive leather dots stick to your finger and make fine needlework a pleasure.

Lastly, by popular demand (we were asked a lot at the West Country Quilt Show!), we have the Sewline fabric glue pens and refills. These popular glue sticks are perfect to temporarily join fabrics without the need for pins or basting, especially useful for English paper piecing - the glue goes on blue but dries clear, and will not gum up the needle during sewing. Refills are available for when the glue runs out, and are easily installed into the pen.
