New packaging policies - improving our eco credentials!

Our new year's resolution this year is to replace as much of our plastic packaging as possible with eco-friendly alternatives. The first batch have arrived, new clear bags for fabric packs - they look like plastic but are made from potato/corn starch so are fully biodegradable and compostable!

As the year goes on we will be using up all our current supplies, every time something runs out we will be replacing with recyclable and biodegradable products, hoping to be plastic free by this time next year!

Guess How Much I Love You 2018 & Lewis & Irene Fairy Lights!

We have two new ranges in stock that would be perfect for presents for little ones this Christmas! Starting with the new Guess How Much I Love You fabric collection by Anita Jeram for Clothworks fabrics - inspired by the classic children's book, these prints feature Little and Big Nut Brown Hare playing together, plus quotes from the book and a selection of beautiful coordinates. We have pre-cut bundles in neutral, blue and pink colourways (taking the work out of matching fabrics!), plus a gorgeous quilt panel, ideal for quick and easy baby quilts and playmats.

The other new range is the Fairy Lights fabric collection from Lewis & Irene - the frolicking fairies, dancing unicorns and glittering sparkles in this range are given an extra magical twist as they glow in the dark! 

New black & whites from Michael Miller, plus Gilded Greenery Moda bundles!

The Michael Miller Black & White patchwork fabrics are fabulous quality, clean designs - perfect for monochrome quilts! Including dots and stripes as well as more 'out there' designs like hospital gown patterns and chicken wire, this is a unique range of black and white quilt fabrics!

The latest Moda jelly rolls and layer cakes to arrive come from the Gilded Greenery Metallic range - traditional designs including poinsettias, holly and pine cones in rich Christmassy colours, all set off with metallic golden highlights!

We have completed our Christmas collections for this year with the addition of Hygge by Lewis & Irene, and Elegant Christmas from Blank Quilting.

Hygge is inspired by trips across Nordic countries - if you haven’t heard of Hygge (pronounced Hoo-Guh) then you will more than likely have felt it before - it’s a delightful Danish and Norwegian word that can only be translated as a sense of cosiness or contentment, and the Hygge fabrics all transmit this feeling with their Christmassy colours and prints! There are also two Advent calendar panels and a stocking panel available, as well as a stash pack and discounted fat quarter pack.

Elegant Christmas, by Gina Linn for Blank Quilting, really lives up to its name - beautiful prints including baubles and snowflakes in soft grey and white with metallic silver highlights make up the collection, creating a classy look for a grown up Christmas!
