New arrivals and re-opening times!

Firstly, thank you for all your comments - our new baby girl, Kira, arrived on the 13th May, and is now home safe and sound. We have been in the Singleton hospital NICU until last Thursday, so are a bit behind with the re-opening of the shop - she had some serious lung problems at birth, but she is fine now, and very cheeky with it - as can be seen, she is very fond of blowing rasbrries! We are now open for orders, however to give the maternity cover (my brother Geraint!) time to learn the ropes no orders will be dispatched until next week.

Obviously, our heartfelt thanks go to the staff of the NICU, and I would like to draw attention to the charity Project Linus, which is one that we quilters can contribute to. Although just a small part of what goes on in the special care baby units, having seen the quilts used by premature babies, and my little one, first hand, I can honestly say they are very much appreciated by parents and staff alike.

Hi all, you may have seen our website and shop is temporarily closed - as our newsletter subscribers will already know, this is because I am expecting a baby (due today!), so for the moment we are not taking any orders online or otherwise as there is the possibility we will not be able to get them sent out, as well as the fact that moving around at the moment is becoming increasingly difficult!

As we are a home-based business, we will be remaining closed until baby is safely arrived, home and settled in - all going well we will be re-opening by the end of May. Thank you for all your good wishes,

Whole Moda Lovely range now in stock!

New from Moda fabrics, we have the Lovely patchwork fabric range in stock - a collection of fabrics ideal for spring/summer, that really lives up to its name! In fresh turquoise, yellow, cream and red tones, with pretty floral motifs, the Lovely range is ideal to get in the mood for the new season. New fabrics in stock from RJR Fabrics

Uploaded to the website this week we have 3 new fabric ranges, plus one extension of an old range, all from RJR fabrics. The new ranges are Mariposa, a gorgeous set of florals interspersed with butterflies, Everything But The Kitchen Sink and Pin Dots, two ranges perfectly matched to make them ideal for childrens' quilts in retro colours and designs. All three ranges are available in coordinating fat quarter packs and stash packs, so you can get your hands on all the prints for a reasonable price!

The existing range which we have extended is the Farmer's Market collection, we have added five new prints to the range featuring delicious looking fruits including lemons, limes, strawberries and oranges - perfect for projects in the kitchen such as oven gloves and tablecloths! Again, the range is available in a discounted fat quarter pack.

New Moda Oasis jelly roll and layer cake in stock!

New in stock today we have the latest Moda jelly roll and layer cake, from the Oasis range by 3 Sisters. Designed by 3 Sisters for Moda, the Oasis range of patchwork fabrics is a gorgeous spring themed collection in calming colours such as mud mask beige, lemon slice yellow, spa blue and polish pink. In stunning floral prints, these fabrics would make a lovely light quilt for springtime, or could be used for apparel or home decoration to equal effect.

New Musical and Bugging Out fabrics now in stock!

Brand new in today we have patchwork fabric prints from two different ranges. Firstly, we have four prints from the Blank Quilting Bugging out quilt fabric collection, fun novelty prints featuring bugs including ladybirds, bumblebees, ants and butterflies, ideal for quilts for little boys! Also available is a discounted fat quarter pack of all four prints in stock, giving a 5% discount over buying the fabrics separately.

Secondly, we have two prints from the Live Jazz patchwork fabric range by Elizabeth's Studio, in the ever popular musical notes designs, one on a black background and one on a white background - perfect for presents for music lovers such as music bags, quilts and decorative items for the music room.

Brand new in today we have the Luna Blooms range of patchwork fabrics, a gorgeous floral range in deep purples, greens and soft creams, designed by Sue Zipkin for Clothworks. With geometric tonal fabrics and stylised large floral features, this would put a great modern slant on a traditional quilt! Available to buy off the bolt, or buy all 4 prints in a discounted fat quarter pack.

We have a few other bits and bobs new in today, including a new print from Makower, the Love Hearts mini squares, a lovely bright print featuring hearts and stars. We have also restocked on 108" extra wide quilt backing fabrics in pink and green - ideal to back up to a king size quilt with no need to join fabric!
