Loads of Makower basic fabrics and Makower Christmas quilt panels now in stock!

We've had a big delivery from Makower this week! We are reducing our range of Makower Basics to only the most popular (get 25% off in our Basics sale), but we are mixing up the general basics ranges with the addition of fabrics from the Buttermints patchwork fabric collection and also the Colour Collection quilt fabric range. Both ranges are ideal to add to your stash to ensure you have a fabric for every occasion, from the chalky pastels of the Buttermints to the bright colours and bold patterns of the Colour Collection!

Also new in this week is the 2015 range of Christmas quilt panels from Makower. We've got them in early so we have a chance of getting more if we sell out, they include an Angel fabric advent calendar panel, Winter Wonderland fabric advent calendar panel, two mini stocking panels to make advent stockings in bright Novelty Christmas colours and Scandi red and taupe, and a big stocking quilt panel to make either one or two stockings to hang from the mantlepiece!

Moda Best of Morris quilt kit and pattern now available!

Last month we uploaded the full Best of Morris quilt fabric range, and now we have this stunning quilt pattern available as a full kit. The Moda Best of Morris quilt kit contains all the fabrics needed to make the quilt top and binding for this double sized quilt, or you can purchase the quilt pattern separately and use fabrics of your choice to create the beautiful pattern. This pattern is very straightforward so you don't need to be an expert to make a treasured heirloom!

Also just uploaded to the website is a full range Best of Morris charm pack and Best of Morris strip roll, rotary cut accurately here in house and including all 40 different prints in the range!

New William Morris prints available, and Loyalty point scheme launched!

Brand new from Moda, we have the Best of Morris patchwork fabric range. Barbara Brackman has chosen her favorite prints from Moda’s William Morris patchwork fabric reproductions for her new the collection - Moda has reproduced six Morris lines since 2008, and they’ve picked the best prints from focal stunners to textures in distinctive Morris style. Stock up your Morris quilting stash with favorites such as “Strawberry Thief”, “Pimpernel”, “Jasmine” and “Willow Boughs.” We have fat quarter packs, stash packs, jelly rolls and layer cakes, so a huge range of coordinating fabrics to choose from!

The other announcement this week is that we have launched a loyalty point cashback scheme. We have a lot of lovely repeat customers, so to make shopping with us even more worthwhile, you will now earn loyalty points every time you shop!

New Timeless Treasures Fairy Tale and Vienna patchwork fabrics now available!

Finally, the fabrics due for February have now arrived, and they were worth waiting for! Both new ranges are from Timeless Treasures - the fresh, classic china blue florals in the Vienna patchwork fabric range, designed by Chong-a Hwang, create a stunning effect with extremely high quality prints. Very different is the Fairy Tale quilting fabric collection (although still high quality), a collection perfect for young fans of princesses, fairy tales and pink!

New range of freezer paper templates for patchwork just launched!

The age old method of English paper piecing quilts is still hugely popular today, and projects made this way are accurate, easy to do and highly portable - perfect to 'sew on the go'!

Our paper templates for patchwork are made from Freezer paper, plain paper with a thin coating on one side that means that they will stick to fabric when ironed, and then can be removed easily leaving no residue. This eliminates the need for pins and ensures the templates won't move, for perfect shapes every time!

Available in hexagons, triangles, octagons, squares and diamonds, there's no end to the different designs you can achieve - see below for a few ideas!

New Moda Bundles in Whitewashed Cottage and Petite Prints ranges now available!

We didn't get sent any Moda bundles last month, so we've got 2 this month to make up for it! The beautiful and very different Petite Prints by French General and Whitewashed Cottage by 3 Sisters are now available as jelly rolls and layer cakes on the website.
