More new Christmas patchwork fabrics with Metallic Coordinates and Festive from Makower

Fun, fresh and festive - this describes Makower's Festive patchwork fabric range to a tee. In a variety of bright colours including turquoise, orange and pink as well as Christmas staples red and green, this modern collection is great for funky Christmas decorations! The prints include multicoloured reindeer, stars and Christmas trees as well as stripes and blender fabrics, perfect for any Christmas project.

The second new Christmas collection is the Metallic Coordinates patchwork fabric range from Makower, again a re-vamp of a very popular range from last year. Tiny metallic gold motifs including stars, dots and snowflakes are scattered on plain green, red, cream and navy backgrounds - these look great on their own, or are perfect to blend in with other Christmas fabrics (especially good for matching with fabrics left over from other years!).

New Makower Scandi Christmas and Moda Half Moon black & white fabrics

After the popularity of the Scandi range last year, Makower have now released their Scandi II patchwork collection new for 2015! Beautiful Scandinavian inspired prints in red and cream colours make up the Scandi II patchwork fabric range by Makower's Henley Studio, and the linen effect of these prints make them perfect to make tasteful Christmas decorations and ornaments. We have a Scandi II stash pack and discounted Scandi II fat quarter pack available so you can get all the prints together without spending a fortune!

Also new in is a small selection of black and white patchwork prints from Moda's Half Moon patchwork fabric collection. Including butterflies, swirls and paisley prints these fabrics are ideal for monochrome quilts.

English Paper Piecing made easy - new range of fabric charm packs and freezer paper templates!

We have supplied hexagon charm packs for a while now, and they've proven so popular that we have now expanded our range for English paper piecing to include octagon charm packs, hexagon charm packs, triangle charm packs, diamond charm packs and small square charm packs, as well as a full range of corresponding freezer paper templates. 

Each shape is available in three different sizes - these packs really do take the faff out of English paper piecing, making this method ideal for a no fuss 'sew on the go' project!

Moda Lady Slipper Lodge range now in stock, plus colour coordinates fat quarter packs!

 Inspired by an early summer visit to a lodge surrounded by wildflowers, including hundreds of the majestic lady slippers, Lady Slipper Lodge is a gorgeous range of fabrics in purple, green and earthy brown tones, designed by Holly Taylor for Moda Fabrics. We have the whole range off the bolt, and several colour coordinated fat quarter packs and stash packs available, as well as a free pattern using the Lady Slipper Lodge range that we have put together in a quilt kit to make a gorgeous double bed quilt.

Also new this week - our colour coordinated stash packs are so popular that we have just launched a new range of fat quarter packs in a similar style. Made up of prints from our basic and tonal ranges, the colour themed packs contain six fat quarters in red, yellow, pink, green, blue, brown and cream, purple and orange, and the rainbow pack contains seven fat quarters in all the colours of the rainbow. The default is fat quarters in the pack, but if you would prefer long quarters (if you are using strips, for example), there is the option to select long quarters in the packs. Perfect stash builders, you even get 5% off the total price of buying the quarters separately!

We've had a big delivery from Makower this week! We are reducing our range of Makower Basics to only the most popular (get 25% off in our Basics sale), but we are mixing up the general basics ranges with the addition of fabrics from the Buttermints patchwork fabric collection and also the Colour Collection quilt fabric range. Both ranges are ideal to add to your stash to ensure you have a fabric for every occasion, from the chalky pastels of the Buttermints to the bright colours and bold patterns of the Colour Collection!

Also new in this week is the 2015 range of Christmas quilt panels from Makower. We've got them in early so we have a chance of getting more if we sell out, they include an Angel fabric advent calendar panel, Winter Wonderland fabric advent calendar panel, two mini stocking panels to make advent stockings in bright Novelty Christmas colours and Scandi red and taupe, and a big stocking quilt panel to make either one or two stockings to hang from the mantlepiece!
